Food for thought

Duget argues "that the smallest good deed is better than the grandest good intention". This implies that  it is better to do good itself than to believe that doing good is good. How useless is it to say it is good to help the poor yet we don"t, we see helpless people everyday but close our eyes to them. It is good to show love yet we don't. Isn't it better to show love, help others or be polite, than to habour these intentions in our minds without putting it into action? Duget's opinion is like faith and reality, word and action, thoughts and execution, theory and practical. what is greater is the doing.  Let's forget the big positive thoughts we have for others and just put those thoughts into action. Even the smallest of those actions is better than our thoughts.
